PASA’s Mission:
To coordinate and support the congregation in its efforts to advocate, educate, organize, serve and witness for peace and social justice; to establish our church as a beacon for social action in our community.
As Unitarian Universalists, we covenant to work for a democratic, peaceful, equitable and earth-friendly world.
The Peace and Social Action Ministry is committed to empowering church members to keep this covenant.

- Racial justice
- Reproductive justice
- LGBTQ justice
As Unitarian Universalists, we acknowledge that the land we now call Maine — the land on which our church is built — is the ancestral land of the Wabanaki Tribes. But land acknowledgements must be more than mere ritual acts. As UU’s we are called to work actively on de-colonizing our institutions, to examine the painful history of tribal-state relations in Maine, and to commit ourselves to become anti-racists and allies to the tribes.

Here are some suggested resources to LISTEN, WATCH, READ, and EXPLORE. In addition, keep an eye on the weekly e-news for opportunities to engage in anti-racism training.
