Saturday, May 1, 11 am - 3 pmH.O.M.E. in OrlandPAX Christi Maine Spring Assembly. The day will include speakers from HOME and PICA on the topic of serving people in Central America, issues related to immigration and working toward more peaceful policies. Jim Harney's work with the undocumented and 'crucified' of the world will be honored with the Oscar Romero award. Nancy Minott will speak and share slides of Jim's work in El Salvador and her recent trip there for Romero's anniversary. A prayer service will conclude our gathering. Fee for the day is $10.00 which includes a homemade Latin lunch. For more info. contact Charlotte Herbold at 338-5019.

War is Not the Answer. Kent Price, of the UU Church in Castine, is a distributor of "War is not the Answer" signs, produced under the auspices of the Friends Committee on National Legislation. The signs are an attractive blue & white, 18" X 24" corrugated plastic, reasonably weatherproof, and come with a metal frame for lawn mounting. FCNL is asking $5 (more welcome) for each sign to cover the costs of production. If you would like one or more, email Kent at kaprice@directv.net to arrange delivery and payment.
